Schools

All schools are now obliged to prepare a set of annual accounts to 31st August each year. These must be filed online by 28th February each year.

At Declan O’Connell & Co we have significant experience in preparing school accounts and are fully up to date with all requirements laid down by the Department of Education and Skills.

We understand that as a School Principal / Board of Management, your workload is extensive and demanding and appreciate how valuable your time is. Managing the financial needs of the school is one area that can consume a significant amount of time. We can prepare and file RCT returns for the school with revenue and our accounting services will ensure that all your school’s financial information is readily available through online access.

We make ourselves fully available to our clients, thus enabling us to assist with any queries they may have. We build a strong relationship through liaising with School Principals and Secretaries to help complete accounts in accordance with the FSSU requirements. We also offer a full bookkeeping service to schools and can train on all areas of accounts entry if necessary.

The reports we produce can be extremely beneficial to the Principal and School Board when making decisions particularly in relation to capital allocation.
